Chef Kevin Rathbun Hearts Delight Cervena TastingChef Kevin Rathbun’s first appearance at the Annual Heart’s Delight Wine Tasting & Auction, in Washington DC on May 10, naturally featured the world’s most delicious and heart-healthy red meat, Cervena venison. Chef Rathbun prepared Grilled Cervena with Tomato Grits and Avocado Vinaigrette for the seated tasting of Bordeaux wines brought to life by chateau owners and gourmet food prepared by world-renowned chefs. Kevin Rathbun’s most recent restaurant to open, Kevin Rathbun Steak in Atlanta, has already been called “one of America’s top steakhouses” by Gayot Online. In May of 2004, Kevin opened his namesake restaurant “Rathbun’s” in Atlanta, critical acclaim and was voted by Esquire Magazine as one of the “Top New Restaurants in the Country”. Since the inception of Rathbun’s, Kevin has opened a second restaurant Krog Bar. It is located next door to Rathbun’s and has also received local and national acclaim. Earlier this year, Kevin Rathbun became the first Georgia Chef to defeat Iron Chef Bobby Flay on the Iron Chef America Series, a regular Sunday night television show on the Food Network. Kevin and his brother Kent, aka, “The Rathbun Brothers” commanded the show and created five different dishes with the “secret ingredient” of Elk. Over the past eight years, Heart’s Delight has raised more than $6 million in support of the lifesaving mission and research of the American Heart Association. |
